This global NY-style Pizza place is hitting the UK by storm. Sbarro recently opened a branch in Middleton, Leeds and kindly invited my Mum and I to try some of their XL pizzas. [ad]

More like a fast-food restaurant, with lots of dining space, Sbarro makes a refreshing option to places like Gregg’s and Subway. It comes across as a nice, casual, family-friendly fast-food restaurant.

We enjoyed;

• XL Firecracker slice – spicy pizza topped with peppers, jalapenos, red onions, chicken and fiery hot sauce drizzled on top
• Stuffed sausage slice –  2 layers of fresh, hand-stretched dough, stuffed with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and spicy beef sausage, topped with seasonings
• Chicken & cheese Stromboli – Freshly shredded mozzarella cheese and your favourite toppings rolled up in fresh dough
• Wedges & Garlic Breadsticks
• XL Margarita slices to takeaway – 2 for £5.50

The stuffed pizza was INSANE. Gooey and tasty and packed with meat. I also really enjoyed the Firecracker, a little spicy for Mum haha. Abbie who was working there really looked after us in between prepping and making fresh pizzas. I took some cheese pizzas for my grandparents to enjoy at home too. The Stromboli is a stodgy meal itself and I think would definitely be best with some dipping sauce as we found ours quite dry. But for an “on the go” item, it’s not bad at all.
