Tasty stuff in Zadar, Croatia

😋Some tasty stuff we had in Zadar, Croatia 🇭🇷.

So when it comes to capturing food and blogging on holiday, I’m crap, because I capture content of food for my job and my hobby EVERY DAY. So usually, as soon as I get off that plane, the photos are of beaches, buildings, views, or my phone is tucked away where it can’t disturb my break.

BUT there were some great food items to note, on our trip to Zadar at the start of Sep, incase anyone is going and is interested…

1. We are obsessed with the Cevapi (beer sausages) – they’re available just about everywhere, but we were squeezed into this restaurant down the road from our family villa – Capo Grill. We didn’t realise the portions were so big and could have shared, so we took leftovers and made sandwiches for a boat trip the next day.

2. Breakfast with a view down at Marina Borik

3 & 4. Tasty pasta dishes we enjoyed at a family meal (to say thanks to Dad & Trish for renting the villa), at La Pegla, near the Old Town.

5 & 6. A decent but pricey lunch in the Old Town somewhere. Slow service and half of my salad ingredients were missing so I had to ask for them haha. Pretty food, but there’s so much choice, you’ll probs end up somewhere that isn’t amazing if you’re not following a recommendation.

7. There is gelato EVERYWHERE, so with this, you can’t go wrong. Make sure you enjoy some.

8. Last but def not least, the random bakery kiosks on residential streets, side streets, everywhere but the old town centre haha… are amazing. Cheap, fresh, authentic. You haven’t been to Croatia if you haven’t had a Borek pastry. I always go for the cheese one.

Also – make sure you try plenty of Ozujsko beers!

So yeah, have you been to Zadar/Croatia? Have I missed any really good foods???
