Mumtaz, Leeds

We enjoyed;

  • Mumtaz Mix Grill for 2 – Chicken Tikka (thighs), chicken wings, Samosa, seekh kebab, lamb chops & salad
  • Chicken Dopiaza, cooked medium spicy (thigh meat)
  • Lamb Handi, cooked hot spicy
  • Cheese naan & Pilau rice to share

Review: In all honesty, we really enjoyed the food, although it wasn’t the best we’d had at an Indian restaurant, BUT we have visited a lot of curry houses (and many more to try). For me personally, the use of chicken thigh over breast made the food a little too fatty and would put some people off. I feel the sharer for 2 actually feeds 3 or 4 people, so we struggled to eat our main. BUT the samosas – fabulous, the mocktail I had was lovely, the cheese naan is a PROPER cheese naan, there were lots of dips for the pickle tray, and the curries were flavoursome – I just wish we’d have shared a main or got a small starter each.
