One of the nicer fast food restaurant franchises that we have visited on London Road, serving up burgers, spicy chicken tenders, milkshakes and more. [ad]

5 Akhis made a great first impression as the restaurant was clean and had plenty of tables with seats. Perfect for us as we are a 25 min drive away from this area, so we like to be able to sit in and eat comfortably.

The menu here has some unique and standout flavours such as Bangla Naga Chicken (hot but full of flavour, we loved these tenders!), and burgers with strawberry jam or mango relish in. I have to say we really enjoyed everything we tried. The food felt fresh, delicious, not greasy, and well worth the visit.

We enjoyed;

• Juicy Lucy Burger – 2 x 2.5oz Smash Patty, American Cheese, Melted Gouda Cheese, Caramelised Onions, Gherkins, House Mayo, Mango Relish – the mango added a sweet depth to this burger, but I really enjoyed it!
• Bangladesh Naga tenders – hot, but very flavoursome
• Mega loaded fries – beef and peppers with cheese and sweet chilli sauce. I loved these, very moreish and had a great chilli heat.
• Mozzarella sticks – simple but cheesy goodness
• Kinder twist milkshake – Kinder bueno, Ferrero Rocher, kinder hippo, crumbled with flake – full of all my favourite things, although I felt it was just a very thick, creamy shake… I didn’t get much Kinder flavour weirdly. Still slurped it up in no time like!
