Sheffield’s largest beer hall with restaurant, IS NOW OPEN! Based in the city centre, near Cambridge St., Kapital is a modern, open venue with an industrial feel, where you can enjoy a large selection of European beers, including tank fresh Czech beer – a first for Sheffield 🥳 There’s fruit beer, ciders, all the spirits, and what I would say are very well priced cocktails for the city centre! Plus food is served daily here. [ad]

We were kindly invited to the VIP Party prelaunch in July, and we can tell you that you will enjoy great drinks, what looks like “reyt” good food, good vibes, live sax, DJ and band performances, and THE new stylish hangout in town. We returned a few weeks later to try the menu out, and my eyes were definitely bigger than my belly, but it was so good… I’ll have to return for dessert another time 😅

We enjoyed;

• Honey Mustard Pork Belly Bites with a pork crackling dusting – wow, these were SO good. Delicious & a big portion. I was so eager I burnt the roof of my mouth tucking into these, haha!
• Karage Schnitzel Pieces with currywurst sauce – they looked dry, but they weren’t. They were very yummy!
• Oktoberfest Roast Chicken – ok, so I had craved this 1/2 chicken as soon as I’d seen it, and I knew I was ordering half a chicken, but omg it was MASSIVE! Juicy, meaty, got lots of chips too, and the pepper gravy was fantastic! Took some chicken home for later 😅
• Steak Frites – Ben was overjoyed with this, a perfectly cooked flat iron steak and delicious peppercorn sauce.

We washed this all down with a Budvar and Früli (strawberry beer) 🍺

👍 We really like this new venue – a great vibe for an afternoon or evening out. And now we can recommend it for food too, not just lots of beers. Great food, great service, love the array of drink options, looking forward to returning one weekend evening too.
