Farmhouse Kitchen, Wakefield

My Mum and I were kindly invited to have a nosey at the newly refurbished Farmhouse Kitchen, which used to be known as Silkwood Farm. It’s bright, clean and modernised décor, make this a lovely place to visit for a meal.

We decided to go for the weekday carvery at an absolute bargain of £9.49. Meat choices were gammon, turkey, and beef, and there was a choice of Yorkshire pud, stuffing, roasties, AND mash, and LOTS of veg! Thoroughly enjoyed!

As if we weren’t full enough, we couldn’t resist sharing a Chocolate Brownie Sundae – £5.49 but big enough to share. There was so much squirty cream and lots of brownie pieces. It was to die for!

They also have a fantastic cake selection, of which you can “cake-away”, so we grabbed a MASSIVE slab of brownie to take home for my grandparents and a giant chocolate eclair!!

We loved our visit here, it’s a very family friendly place, and I’m definitely going to take Ben soon to try out more of their menu (and cos I can’t stop thinking about that Sundae!!).

Warning – you may have to unbutton your jeans on the drive home 🤭. Farmhouse Kitchen has plenty of other meal options on their menu aside from a carvery such as; pies, salad bowls, burgers, wraps and more. For more information, visit their website here.
