City Centre bargain for top quality food at The Foresters, which we visited a couple of months back, which was the first time we’d had the pleasure of eating there. £10 MAINS, £5 STARTERS & DESSERTS Tues – Fri 12pm – 9pm & Saturdays 12pm – 5pm.

We enjoyed;

• Sheffield Fish Cake, tartar sauce (GF) £5 – proper flakey fish in side. Ben was well happy with this.
• Welsh Rarebit, mushroom ketchup (V) £5 – Crispy toast underneath a tasty, rich rarebit. Could have been cheesier for me personally (greedy)
• Pipers chive Sausage & Mash, gravy, crispy shallots (GF) £10 – we are big fans of Pipers sausages a d you sure get a mammoth portion for the price. Mash and rich gravy are spot on 👌🏼
• Fish & Chips, peas, tartar sauce (GF) £10 – again, impressed with the portion. Fresh, crispy battery which wasn’t greasy at all. Great, flakey fish 👍🏼
• Sticky Toffee Pudding, brown butter ice cream
• (V) £5 – wow, a damn good sticky toffee, love the ice cream, lots of toffee sauce mmmmm
• Knickerbocker Glory £5 – so this wasn’t on the menu but I was given an exclusive taster of this as the chef if looking to put this on the menu, and I vote YESSSS. I felt like a giddy kid again and loved every bit of the ice cream, sprinkles, sauce and homemade chocolate flakes with fresh strawberries.

This venue gives a modern, cosy, casual pub feel, where you can get a range of drinks including locally brewed craft beers, and really decent homecooked food. We will definitely be back!
