In February, Ben took us to Belfast to celebrate my birthday. It’s a great city with lots going on, a lively vibe, history, lots to see and lot to eat! Here’s some massive bites to eat that we enjoyed in Belfast.. keep scrolling for the famous Belfast Bap 😎🐖

1&2 – @frankys_lasagneria_belfast based in @thejohnhewitt pub. We couldn’t book for a Friday evening but managed to get a table before it got too busy. Proper stacked lasagne, reyt tasty too. The garlic & Parmesan fries omg… they’re a must!! Definitely seek this place out for it’s range of beers and food!
3&4 – dinner at The Fullerton Arms in Ballycastle on the way to the Giants Causeway. The seafood chowder was delicious. The steak & Guinness Pie was decent too, but we wouldn’t call it a pie, it’s a “stew with a lid”!

5 – a little drink at @bushmillsirl whisky distillery. Ok so this isn’t food, but as part of a day trip to Giant’s Causeway (which we would highly recommend), that had a number of stops, we visited the Bushmill’s Distillery. We didn’t do a tour, but on the stop you can do some whisky tasting or just have a wander around and look in the shop and have a drink. I chose to try the cocktail special as I am not massively keen on whisky.
6 & 7 – very good chicken at Yardbird upstairs in The Dirty Onion bar – which isa great bar itself, so we would recommend a few drinks here, especially when there is live music on. The spice bag chicken loaded fries were AMAZING

8&9 – An infamous Belfast Bap from St Georges Market. 40 min wait. Shared it and was full all day. There must have been a pack of bacon in it. I’m not sure anyone needs that amount. But it had to be done… before and after the bacon pics, haha
11&12 – A Belfast sweet treat “Fifteens” which is similar to a rocky road but softer. It was Sunday, so I couldn’t find a bakery, I grabbed these at the Lidl!
13 – Last but not least, you can’t go to Ireland and not have some Taytos!!

We would recommend Belfast as a city to visit for a long weekend away, if you like a good night out, a decent Guinness and a bit of history. Overall we spent around £250 each for 2 nights/3 days and a pint was anywhere between £6.00 – £7.50
