Cosy Club, Sheffield City Centre

That’s right, if you didn’t already know, ANOTHER branch of the Cosy Club has opened and this time in Sheffield City Centre (based where Pitcher & Piano used to be). We were invited to their Launch Party in July where we were greeted with Prosecco on arrival and shown to our table, where we could choose whatever we liked from the menu! [AD|INVITE]

The venue has a lovely, almost speakeasy art-deco theme going on, with a gorgeous open downstairs bar & restaurant and outside area leading onto City Hall Square. A more cosy dining area is situated upstairs with a small roof terrace too. A perfect setting for some hand-crafted cocktails and a bite to eat in the city centre.

We enjoyed;

  • Sharing Plates •Asian Fried Chicken (£7.95) •Pork Belly Bites •Mozzarella & Ricotta Arancini (£7.25)- this was the best small plate
  • Massaman Cauliflower (£16.25 – Ve)- looked a small portion but was filling. Had more butter beans that cauliflower in my portion but that wasn’t a bad thing.
  • Fillet Steak with Chips & Rocket (£31.95) with Peppercorn sauce (£2.25)- the best steak Ben has enjoyed in recent times
  • Miso Caramel Custard Tart (£7.75)- over an hour wait for this on launch night, but it was SO worth it and I had cocktails to keep me going! A great indulgent dessert for a sweet tooth like me.
  • Affogato (£5.75)
  • Flapper Fizz Martini (£11.50)& Cherry Bakewell (£11.25) cocktails

We had a nice meal and fancy cocktails in a lovely setting. I feel like visiting here would be something of a treat price wise. A lot of people say they are fans of visiting cosy club for their cocktails, which were nice. We VERY much enjoyed the arancini, curry, fillet steak and miso tart.

Other meals you will find on their menu include; Halloumi & Hot Honey sharing plate, Spanish Chicken, Cod & Chips, Salted Caramel & Chocolate Mousse, and much more.

📝*I’d personally describe the “sharer plates” as “small” plates instead. We thought they were very small portions for the price (average £8). 3 between us was just about enough for a starter portion.
*My “cauliflower” Massaman was more butterbean but it was still delicious.
*We didn’t think there was much pork belly in the “pork belly bites”
*Waiting times for food/cocktails became extensive (up to 1hr), any other night we’d have left but we enjoyed seeing a lot of people

All in all I think I’d go back for cocktails in the afternoon, but don’t think it’d be at the top of my list to re-visit quickly for food, ALTHOUGH their breakfasts do look good… so watch this space! Check it out for yourselves though.

Opening times; Daily from 9am until late. Find out more on their website here.
