Just a quick blog about the food we got to devour in Malta (not a full travel blog sorry!!)
Well Malta is not short of some seriously decent grub that’s for sure ! Check out my Instagram Reel here showing all the delights we tried (including local delicacies of course!)

Here’s some fabulous treats we enjoyed, with particular note to;
⭐️We had some banging burgers at a place called Crust (under Game n Ale Pub) in St Julian’s Spinola Bay
⭐️There are lots of amazing bakeries dotted around and also some great supermarkets serving fresh bread, pastries, deli etc – wish our supermarkets were like these!
⭐️Sandwiches in the Maltese traditional sourdough Ftira bread are a MUST, I had a few 😋
⭐️Prickly Pear Cacti can be seen EVERYWH|ERE on the island, so we had to try the local liqueur made from this🍸
⭐️Another traditional dish is rabbit stew & rabbit ravioli, the flavours to these almost had a rich curry taste and we actually enjoyed the meat itself so these were a welcomed try, but don’t think I’ll be cooking rabbit myself any time soon haha
⭐️La Vida Tapas restaurant in Sliema is a hidden gem, the food was superb 👌🏼
⭐️Last but not least we had to try Maltese savoury pasties “Pastizzi” filled with either mushy peas (curried peas) or ricotta – both yum! AND the sweet pastries “Imqaret” filled with dates – delish
Have you been to Malta before?? Did I miss anything I should have tried??
Check out more of the foods I’ve enjoyed on my travels here.
Happy munching!
