Residence 74 Café & Bar – Cookridge/Adel, Leeds

A couple of my friends that live in Adel, suggested meeting for lunch at one of their local cafe’s, Residence 74, and I immediately recognised the name as somewhere I have been wanting to visit in Leeds, however had just never been in the area previously. So we jumped at the chance.

I am glad we did as we were impressed with the venue and food we had.

Between us we enjoyed;

  • I had Halloumi & Avo Hash (of course, because I love anything with avocado and halloumi on a menu) – halloumi, avocado, roasted veg, pomodoro sauce, crispy potatoes, all topped with a fried egg, with sourdough toast. This was right up my street, I could have actually had a bigger portion if I’m honest haha. Egg was perfectly runny.
  • Chicken Burger – with bacon cheese, sweet chilli mayo, fries & side of coleslaw. Decent lunch that hit the spot, very filling!
  • Steak & Cheese Sandwich – rump steak with Brie, onion chutney and rocket on ciabatta with fries. MASSIVE sarnie that went down well!
  • Superfood Salad with halloumi – sweet potato, cous cous, leaf, tomatoes, pickled onion, beetroot, pomegranate, seeds and house dressing. Very refreshing and yummy.
  • Washed down with San Miguels and mouth-watering mocktails!

On average, a meal and drink here would cost you around £12 – £20 which seemed reasonable for the quality and portion size. We couldn’t fault our visit.
