Beju Restaurant & Bar based on Glossop Rd, just off West Street in Sheffield City Centre describes itself as a unique, contemporary Asian Restaurant, that provides luxury lifestyle dining and entertainment through unique experiences that stimulate the senses. We visited one Saturday to try their Bottomless Brunch, so here’s more about our experience…

We chose this bottomless brunch after seeing a review and recommendation by a fellow foodie, who purchased a Wowcher for bottomless brunch for 2 people here for a total of £36 instead of £80. This is a right bargain! You can still grab this deal here until 30th Sep (must be purchased and used by that date and is subject to availability). The deal includes 2 small plates/bites each (sides available for additional £4 each) and bottomless beers, cocktails or prosecco.
Walking in we were greeted by friendly staff and straight away shown to our table. The atmosphere was buzzing and the décor is definitely memorable with dark hues and unique decorations and lighting that make the room look luxurious. There was a DJ on playing a lot what I call “music without words” – but as our time there went on, more recognisable songs were played which I think adds to a bottomless brunch experience. There is definitely a “bougie” or what I may call “posey” vibe about this place… In all honesty, I wouldn’t intentionally visit here on a night out, but we really enjoyed the Bottomless Brunch and would recommend it (at the discounted price).

The small plates on this deal are limited to a set menu, BUT I thought the portions were just right to accompany drinks and everything was tasty.. the only fault on the some of the food I would say is “HOLD OFF ON ALL THAT MAYO”..
We decided to get 4 different dishes between us so that we could try them all, and went with;
Prawn Dynamite – the prawns were massive and juicy. They came in batter and were covered in a lot of mayonnaise which I think I would have preferred them to be without. But we were happy with the portion size and taste.
Calamari – As above, really chunky and tender pieces of calamari, which came in batter. Not sure we got much wasabi, but were topped with a lot of mayonnaise again. Still enjoyed this.
Chicken Gyoza – these were lovely and came with tangy cabbage, a decent portion size, I even managed to eat mine with chopsticks!! (I am rubbish at this).
Hoisin Duck Spring Rolls – these were massive! 4 large spring rolls, crisps and delicious, would definitely recommend this dish.

The choice of drinks were; 4 choices of cocktails (including Porn Star Martinis and Pina Coladas), Prosecco, Draft Beer (Pravah and Madri). Between us I believe we had one of everything. Initially the draft beer was off when we got there due to an issue with the pumps, but this quickly got fixed and our server was fantastic and already brought Ben a pint over before he even asked. The drinks service was really on point, we didn’t have to wait for drinks at all and never went without. I would say the cocktails didn’t seem that strong and were fairly sweet, but there was a choice for everyone I think; the Pina Coladas made me feel like I was on holiday!
In summary, we really enjoyed the food, drinks service and our time here for the Beju Bottomless Brunch however we are glad we paid a discounted price and unsure if we would return at £40pp, but would recommend that people look into giving this brunch option a try!
